"In the WHALE's belly"Do you know what happened to Jonah in the whale? How long was Jesus really in the HEART of the earth?
>>Previous Person> How many days, and nights, was Jesus in the tomb ? [...] JESUS PROPHESIED THAT IT WOULD BE 3 days and 3 nights Mt 12:40.The -SIGN- of the prophet Jonas: "For -as- Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; -so- shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth." (Mt.12:40) As you recall, Jonah was cast into the sea by his ship mates, and his own testimony of what happened after he was "cast" out says: "The waters compassed me about, [even ]to the soul: the depth closed me -round- about, the weeds were wrapped about my head." (Jon.2:5) Obviously he DROWNED when the waters came -in- unto his soul. The grave clothes of the depth enclosed him round about. A separate head covering was -wrapped- about his head. When he was [finally] swallowed by the great fish, he was entombed in the whale's belly. Note: Like a cow, the whale has more than one stomach. There is no acid in the first [enzyme] stomach. Jonah would not have been partially dissolved by acid. He would have had WRINKLES from water logged flesh. The enzymes may have also bleached his skin somewhat.
As you well remember, Joseph and Nicodemus wrapped Jesus' body round about in linen clothes with about an hundred pound weight of spices before burial. And behold: "Then cometh Simon Peter following him, and went into the sepulchre, and seeth the linen clothes lie, And the napkin, that was about his head, not lying with the linen clothes, but wrapped together in a place by itself." (Jn.20:6,7) Jonah was closed round about by the depth. Jesus was enclosed round about by the linen clothes(plural). Jonah had a separate covering of weeds WRAPPED about his head. Jesus had a separate napkin WRAPPED about his head. (So much for the one-piece shroud of Turin hoax.) Jonah was wrapped up before he was entombed in the belly of the whale. Jesus was wrapped up before he was entombed. Jonah was three days and three nights in the tomb of the whale's belly. Jesus in the sepulchre was three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. The Lord Jesus was crucified for our sins on the 4th day of the week and was prepared for burial at sunset and ENTOMBED at the beginning of the FIFTH day of the week. (You surely remember that it was on the FIFTH day that "God created great whales"! Gen.1:21p :) Jesus was in the heart of the earth the 5th, 6th and 7th days of the week and arose from the dead sunset at the end of the sabbath. He rose from the dead for our justification through faith in his blood. The word of faith says, That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. (Are you saved? :) Remember that Jesus is the Lord and receive the love of the truth. Grace be to your heart, in love for Jesus' sake. Amen.
