This site is my attempt to keep older Subaru’s alive and on the road. Giving them credit as the unique and
interesting automobiles they are. The early models
were tough, easy to service, very dependable
and innovative in design.
Now, years later, I decided I wanted an "old" Subaru. I realized they were a very special cars, worthy of restoration. ( I now had the money to do it too!) In Jan. 1994 the hunt started!! Much to my surprise, I found my collection rust free!! In the search for one, I ended up with four. My collection: 1.) 1979 GF hardtop 2.) 79 Station Wagon DL 3.) 78 DL wagon , automatic, ( my favorite!) I recently sold my 1980 BRAT to a loving home in Alabama.
( I have a strong preference for the pre-1980 style Subarus, although all are wonderful !)
After getting my interest on the internet, I was amazed
to see how many others share my interest. Subaru
lovers are out there in force!!
Many people remember their vintage Subaru fondly. One individual hauled a 76 DL out of a Northeast salvage yard to restore a piece of his past . ( Good thing it was sitting on top of a van and not rotted out.)
Vintage Subaru lovers and owners of ALL years continue to contact me with their stories. The BRAT, (all years), was a "very unique and functional vehicle". I firmly believe that it will become more sought after as time goes on.
